The Kennel Tour

Cyberpyro steps off of the elevator leading you down a hall and up to a pair of very intimidating looking guards standing in front of a large blast door.

"Identification" One of them says to CP.

Cyberpyro shows a picture badge and leans forward to have a retinal scan performed. A moment later, the door slides open and the guards wave you past. As you enter the hallway, you see yet another door 10 feet from the first one.

"We're going to pass through 3 of these blast doors on the way to the kennels." Cyberpyro explains. "Because they are located so close to surface level. Each door is composed of Jihaddium and Owensite composite metals. As you can see, anyone caught in between in an invasion could have our choice of corrosive or explosive materials dumped on them." Your eyes follow Cyberpyro's pointing finger to the armored vents located on the ceiling panel.

As you reach the last door, your guide pauses to punch a sequence into the keypad on the wall before leading you into the center.

"Welcome to our Kennel and Training area." Cyberpyro points to a large row of doors that stretches along the wall on one side of the facility. "Those are the housing units for the Dobe's. Each animal has his or her own separate quarters. We can accommodate up to 5000 K-9's at any one time."

Your guide leads you across the floor towards what appears to be a Veterinary clinic.

"This area is our Animal Health Facility, which is staffed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week by over 200 people. Any time any sort of problem arises with the Dobe's, there are brought here immediately for triage. All the Vet's on this staff are masters in their field. We have extremely high standards to be upheld, and they are tested and evaluated constantly."

"Now I'll show you the training center." Cyberpyro leads you through a door on the other side of the Health Facility to reveal what looks like the biggest airplane hanger you've ever seen. Hundreds of Doberman's are there, all participating in different training activities. In one area there are several types of different cargo planes.

"One aspect of training here is of course weapons and explosives detection." Cyberpyro explains as he points to the planes. "The Dobe's are taught recognition of every type of explosive known to man." As you look across the center, you notice a large arena with several Training Troopers in heavily padded magenta body suits. As one of them starts to sing "I Luv You," the others try to hide his location. The attacking Doberman leaps over the decoys instantly locking onto the singer.

You follow Cyberpyro to another door, as big as the 3 you passed coming down the hall. After the identification process, it opens into a deep, rich forest. "Now you can understand the security precautions for this sector. Part of the daily program for the Dobe's is learning tracking here in the wilderness."

"As you can see," Cyberpyro continues as he walks you back indoors. "We believe in an extreme regiment of cross training. The Dobe's work hard, no doubt about it, but the rewards are worth the effort. A Dobe's training starts the moment he is born. Through years of careful breeding, we have developed litters which yield only the best and strongest of dog's. Every pup in the litter is as strong as the next. It's taken painstaking efforts of careful love and guidance, but it had to be accomplished without the use of genetic tampering. That's not what we are about. The Dobe typically serves full duty from the time he's 2 years old, until he's 5 years old. Then, he's retired to our Doberman reserve on the complex. He will usually sire a few litters of pups, and then live the rest of his life in the lap of luxury."

You finish your tour of the Kennels and are led back to the elevators by Cyberpyro.
