You Wimp Out

You sigh deeply as you contemplate your choices, and decide that you've had enough touring.

"Thanks for the offer, but I think I've seen enough to sate my curiousity for now. I really appreciate your time, but I think I'll head back to my quarters and rest."

"Fine with me, it was no trouble at all. But I want you to understand that if you stop now, you won't be able to come back and see any more.

"That's fine... I'll survive."

He grins at you briefly and comments "I'm sure you will," before striding off down the corridors again.

After an incredibly convoluted trip through the hallways and passageways, you finally make it back to your quarters, again completely out of breath after trying to keep stride with Cyberpyro's long strides.

"See you later," you comment, as your door opens for you and head in.

"I doubt it," he grins, "but it was fun. G'nite."

You wonder briefly what he meant by that as the door hisses shut, but it doesn't bother you much. You flop on the bed, clothes and all, and promptly fall asleep.

When you wake up, you find yourself sitting upright in a fairly comfortable chair. You look around, and suddenly recognize your surroundings; you're back in the shuttle, with sunlight streaming through the window next to you. The shifting of the rays of sunlight clearly marks your descent back to the landing pad you originally took off from, and you groan slightly to yourself as you suddenly understand what Cyberpyro was talking about--you probably won't see him again. Not in a tour guide capacity, anyway!
